Heroes do not always wear capes. An 11 year old boy has proven that it only takes a little bit of courage and a desire to help to become a hero.

Sorgho Abdul Nasr decided to volunteer to help others during a flood in Abidjan at the risk of his life.
Photos sighted by AfricaCelebrities.com show Nasr in full action as he assisted people, mainly children of his age, to cross the heavily inundated area in Abidjan.

Through this act of bravery, Nasr has been honored with Knight in the Order of Merit of Solidarity, an Ivorian national recognition of his contribution to the community.
