Touted as the self-acclaimed dancehall king, Ghanaian-born reggae-dancehall musician, Shatta Wale is gearing up for his WonderBoy Album Launch later this year. The launch will be part of his much anticipated The Reign Concert (Reloaded).

Ordinarily, this would be no news as Shatta Wale himself has been promoting the upcoming launch and concert. Besides, he has launched several albums and held many concerts in the past.

However, Shatta Wale, via a social media post, has extended invitation to his colleagues in the industry, who he claims are ready to support The Reign Concert for the WonderBoy Album Launch. He mentions #Bhimnation (Stonebwoy), #SarkNation (Sarkodie), #HighGradeFamily (Samini), #ShayGang (Wendy Shay), #BardMan, and #AMG (Medikal).

Last year, Shatta Wale became the center of all attention as he filled up the Fantasy Dome to capacity with his Reign Concert. In the concert, he thrilled fans to some major hits including his hit songs ‘Amount’ and ‘Gringo’.

The concert aptly dubbed ‘The Reign Concert’ was to launch his Reign Album. And as expected, the concert could not have ended without a controversy as Shatta Wale deliberately refused to allow Stonebwoy and Samini to perform during the show even though he had been championing “Support Your Own” agenda aimed at uniting musicians in Ghana.

Against this backdrop, we are wondering if Stonebwoy and Samini, among the host of other artistes mentioned by Shatta Wale will show up at this year’s Reign Concert at all. And even if they do, will Shatta Wale allow them to perform or will there be a repeat of the last Reign Concert incident?

We hope this invitation is out of good faith. After all, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have had countless beefs in the past and still managed to iron their differences.
