Shocking: Footballer Dies in Kisumu After Collapsing During Tournament
A family in Kisumu is in mourning after a 16 year old footballer collapsed and died after a local soccer tournament. The deceased, Moses Ayoo Awuoth of Rae Green Stars Football Club collapsed a few minutes after a football game with a local team, Renja Football club on Sunday evening.
The soccer tournament was held at Ragumo Primary School in Kisumu-East Sub County. The FC Coordinator Hesborn Ochieng said that the form 2 student of Kisumu Boys High School was playing until he suddenly fell. He was rushed out of the soccer pitch and first aid was administered. Despite the speedy response and transportation to the hospital, the victim died on the motorbike . He was announced dead on arrival at the Wema Hospital in Nyamasaria.
