At least fifteen people have been confirmed dead when a three-storey building under construction collapsed in Mali’s capital Bamako. More than twenty people were rescued alive from the rubble of the collapsed building.
According to media reports, the top floor collapsed onto the rest of the building which was already occupied. This led to the whole building caving in. Many people got trapped the people living in it.
The government has announced an investigation into the disaster. The owner of the building has been arrested for building without a permit.
