Two Nigerians Arrested For Forging Ghanaian Passports and University Degrees

Two Nigerians by name, Ehikoya Israel Eignibhahu and Achioneg Amos, who were living illegally in Ghana have been sentenced to a total of nine months in prison with lard labour for acquiring Ghanaian passports by false declaration and also for forging academic degrees from the University of Cape Coast and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, respectively.

Ehikoya was given three months imprisonment while Achioneg was given six months with additional 45 penalty units fine after they both pleaded guilty to the offence.

Furthermore, nine other individuals have been prosecuted by the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) for several immigration related crimes in the country, among which are three Ghanaians, one Cameroonian, and other Nigerians.
