University Student Stabs Boyfriend To Death Over Failure To Provide N2500 For Her Hairdo

Earlier today, Africacelebrities.com reported on the Nigerian woman who stabbed her baby daddy for not coughing up N30000 to throw a birthday party for their one-year-old daughter, and that was supposed to be enough bizarreness for the day.

However, not to be outdone, a 20-year-old lady from the Ekiti State University (EKSU) called Bukola Odeyemi has taken the cake and run with it. Bukola has been arrested by the police for stabbing her boyfriend, John Ilu to death on Wednesday after the deceased was unable to provide N2500 (less than GHC40) for her hairdo.

According to a Nigerian News Media report, “Odeyemi had demanded N2,500 from her lover, also a student of EKSU, to get her hair done at the salon, but an argument ensued after the deceased refused to give her the money.

During the altercation, Odeyemi stabbed Iju in the chest and his cry for help attracted us but he did not survive the injury”.

DSP Caleb Ikechukwu, the spokesman of the Ekiti police, has confirmed that the suspect has since been arrested.
