WATCH As Ghanaian Men Reportedly In Libyan Prison Cry For Help – Two Are Already Feared Dead
Most youth in the country are yearning for greener pastures; a place away from home, a place where they can be successful without interacting with the horrors of poverty, and a place where the government doesn’t look lackadaisical while the people drown in hunger and politicians loot money from state coffers.
These youth make it a point to venture overseas, seemingly unmindful of whether they survive or not. They stowaway in boats, buses, and sometimes by the appalling journey to Libya on foot.

There have been several reports of thousands dying on the Sahara desert, and thousand more dying in Libyan prisons. Most are also captured and sold as slaves, their dreams chameleoning into strands of dusty sand.
The latest video we have is of a Ghanaian man (we know that because he speaks the twi dialect) stuck behind bars as he narrates the ordeal he and his friends have been through. He states that he’s apparently unaware of his surroundings, and that other men have died in the congested cell which contains over 20 able-bodied men.
His cry for help is heart-breaking.
