Read the Story of a Courageous Mother Who Died From Cancer in a Treatment Facility in India in Order to Save Her Baby

Local heroine Anne died on the night of Sunday, September 22. She passed away at the Glen Eagles Global Hospital in India where she was receiving treatment. Anne moved many hearts after turning down cancer treatment to save her unborn baby. Anne’s mum Jane Muchuka Ameyo said her death has hit the family hard but they are trying to cope.

She candidly revealed that her daughter’s last words were ”Lord do not leave me,” which she uttered before taking her last breath. Ameyo was also full of thanks to Kenyans for raising KSh 2.3 million which afforded her specialised treatment in India.

According to Ameyo, the worst part was that Anne was all happy and even ready to fly back home when the angel of death visited. The family has requested Kenyans to help them raise KSh 180,000, money needed to fly her body back home. Anne arrived in India on August 15 and was under treatment until her sudden demise.She has left behind two children who Ameyo said needed help and prayed for strength to take care of them now that their mother is no more. Countless Kenyans are mourning with the family and even took to social media to condole together.
