A Six-Year-Old Nigerian Student Is Africa’s Youngest Microsoft Specialist
A month-long summer camp tagged: ‘Nextgen IT Experts’ organized by Learning Systems Institute, New Horizons in Lagos recently had six-year-old Damilare Akano emerging as the youngest Microsoft Specialist in Africa.
A month-long summer camp tagged: ‘Nextgen IT Experts’ organized by Learning Systems Institute, New Horizons in Lagos recently had six-year-old Damilare Akano emerging as the youngest Microsoft Specialist in Africa.
Young Damilare was trained along with 200 other youngsters in various Information Communication Technology (ICT) courses such as Microsoft, Multimedia, Robotics Engineering, Drone Technology, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT) and Coding.
Out of a 1000 points, he scored 871, beating 10-year-old Toluwalese Kwaku and 8-year-old Kolawole Akano, who scored 825 and 800 points respectively.
Damilare Akano, Toluwalese Kwaku and Kolawole Akano are all students of Scholar Crest International, Omole, Lagos.
