Rapper T.I. Says He Checks Every Year If His 18-year Old Daughter Is A Virgin

Rapper T.I. has claimed he takes his 18-year-old daughter to the gynaecologist every year to “check the hymen” to know if she is a virgin.

Speaking on the Ladies Like US podcast, hosts Nazanin Mandi and Nadia Moham were left bemused and laughing at the artist’s admission.

As part of his appearance on the show, T.I. spoke at length about his family. He was asked if he had spoken to his daughter Deyjah Harris, who is in her first year of university, about sex.

“Not only have we had the conversation. We have yearly trips to the gynaecologist to check her hymen,” T.I. told the two hosts.

The 39-year-old star continued: “So we’ll go and sit down and the doctor comes and talk, and the doctor’s maintaining a high level of professionalism.

“He’s like, ‘You know, sir, I have to, in order to share information’ – I’m like, ‘Deyjah, they want you to sign this so we can share information. Is there anything you would not want me to know?

“See, doc? Ain’t no problem.'”

T.I., whose real name is Clifford Joseph Harris Jr, acknowledged he understands that the hymen, which is a thin piece of tissue which forms part of the vulva, can be broken through many everyday activities.

It is not a reliable indicator of whether a person has had sex.

He said: “And so then they come and say, ‘Well, I just want you to know that there are other ways besides sex that the hymen can be broken like bike riding, athletics, horseback riding, and just other forms of athletic physical activity.

“So I say, ‘Look, Doc, she don’t ride no horses, she don’t ride no bike, she don’t play no sports. Just check the hymen, please, and give me back my results expeditiously.'”

The hosts laughed throughout and commenting “you are the worst” and “somebody check on Dejah, she’s a prisoner!”.

Deyjah, who has 1.4 million Instagram followers and appears on the family reality show, T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle, has not commented publicly since the broadcast of the show.

Fans of hers have commented on her posts, with one supporter suggesting she tell her father “get his own hymen checked” and adding “no man in this world owns your body”.
