In 2005, some friends of mine from City University, London, decided that we must all do something crazy or wild, before we graduate as MA students.
Oh my word, people did things 😳. Herrrr hmmmm
So this Mama here, decided that she was going to have a tattoo. Yep.
Yes, I’ve got my wild side and I admire tattoos. Don’t ask me why? I just love them.
So, let the crazy daughters of mine know that ‘before I got to know Christ I was a sister’ (translate in fanti 😀). Oh how I remember my Mfantsiman Girls days🙆🏽‍♀️. I was the official ear piercer. Giving people two and 3 ear holes. And if you are afraid, I will pierce mine to prove that it’s not painful 🙆🏽‍♀️😀. Chai, God has been merciful.

Well, so I decided to have a tattoo and on the ‘D’ day, we all marched to Selfridges on Oxford street, London to have my tattoo. They used to have a tattoo place there.
My friends cheered me on and soon it was almost my turn. One more person then it would be my turn.

Then I heard the person inside scream 😳🙆🏽‍♀️. Whaaaat? What kind of pain could make a person scream like that?
Mehnnnnn I started panicking. Do I really want to go through with this?
Well, I told my friends I was going to use the washroom and would be back soon.
I stepped out and jumped on bus 23 back to my hostel at Newington Green. Don’t laugh Oh 😂😂
Where is here? Boi. Who send me?
That scream killed my insatiable desire to have a tattoo wai. One time
My dear one,
It is not everything we crave for, desire, admire, fantasize about, that is good for us or we must have.

Some things are just meant to be dreamt about. Some things are just meant to be admired. You must not necessarily have it, do it or be a part of it.
It’s not every fight you must fight
It’s not everything you must comment on or talk about.
People may call you a coward, a fool, a weakling etc… but please know yourself and what you can and cannot do. Don’t kill yourself in the name of ‘loving it’ or ‘admiring it’. This week, May God help us to know what is good for us and what is not!!! May He grant us the wisdom to make wise decisions and choices.”
