Are women their own enemies? Many people are of the strongest opinion that women are in fact their own enemies.

And justifiable so, because there are countless instances where the downfall or misfortune of one woman was orchestrated by her fellow woman.

It is even believed among certain circles that women are in constant battle with each other with or without the knowledge of the other party.

The multi-talented Ghanaian actress, film producer and singer, Juliet Ibrahim has given her take on this subject of women hating on each other. According to her, it is baffling that some women bring other women down despite knowing how difficult life is for women.

She said: “Why do we, as women bring down other women, knowing how hard life can be for a woman? Never mock or laugh at another woman when she’s in her predicament, because sister one day you or someone close to you might be a victim of something similar or worse.”

Quoting a line from her book, A Toast To Life, Juliet Ibrahim admonished women to choose their fellow women over men. “In the ‘Toast To Life’ book, I stated “ Sisters over bros” I believe in sisterhood, she added.

However the actress believes that sometimes women take delight in the predicament of other women. She explained that: “Most of us are happy being in blind competition with each other.”

Calling on women to join forces and support each other in their respective careers and trade, she added that: “We need to be there and support each other even if you don’t know that woman personally.

“Don’t bring her down just because you envy her shine or don’t understand her and how she’s making it happen. Join forces as women and watch extremely great things happen!”
