As to what moved Shatta to come to this conclusion, he did not disclose but we have a pretty good idea what was going through his mind.
The Shatta Movement (SM) boss revealed in a Facebook post that: “I’ve realized that after a massive brainstorming with a colleague we have come to a conclusion that Ghana arts, culture and sports is under spiritual curse..”
Perhaps what was bothering the self-acclaimed dancehall king to brainstorm Ghana’s arts and culture industry is against the backdrop that, after he claimed to have been nominated for a Grammy Award having featured on Beyonce’s ‘The Lion King: The Gift’ album, many commentators, especially Ghanaian blogger Ameyaw Debrah, came out to challenged his claim.
Shatta Wale had earlier blasted those who refuted his nomination claim. Maybe it was after careful thought, when he couldn’t find any explanation as to why some sections of Ghanaians did not support him that he concluded that the industry is cursed.
