Traffic In Lapaz Causes Price Hikes For Uber Users

Information we are getting indicates that the anticipated Christmas traffic jam in Accra has already began.

Residents and motorist in Lapaz today took to social media to lament the terrible traffic jam in the area.

Some even cautioned other commuters and motorist to abandon plans of using the Lapaz road. One Twitter user (@_niimartey) tweeted that:

“Listen if you’re coming towards Lapaz, Kwashieman using the N1, and you’re using a car, park and walk. You’ll get to your destination faster. I kid you not”

Another Twitter user (@roar_beats) narrated how his petrol was exhausted after maneuvering his way out of the traffic to his destination.

He tweeted that: “Chale I just got to odorkor..i left legon around 5pm…the traffic for the opkonglo there Dy come the dzorwulu there…

“I had to dodge thru Ghana Standards thru Red Cross HQ to join that Road after the dzorwulu traffic light…na the traffic for lapaz dierr..my petrol all finish.”

But amidst the complaints and lamentations of social media users on the traffic jam happening at Lapaz, it seems Uber users are going to suffer the most it financially.

Many of them are crying for the price hikes as a result of the traffic in the area.
