Let’s Raise a Glass to Pink Who Has Just Donated $500,000 to Battle Wild Fires in Australia

Popular musician Pink is supporting the people of Australia affected by the deadly wildfires in a major way; by putting a lot of her money where her mouth is.

Pink who has performed in Australia many times over the years pledged to donate $500,000. The money will go to firefighters battling the blazes. So far, the wild fires have killed at least 23 people since September, including 12 this past week.

The pop start took to Instagram with the announcement writing “I am totally devastated watching what is happening in Australia right now with the horrific bush fires.”

”I am pledging a donation of $500,000 directly to the local fire services that are battling so hard on the front lines. My heart goes out to our friends and family in Oz.”

It has been estimated that millions of native animals, including thousands of koala bears, have been killed in the blazes. That’s not all; Over 13 acres of land have been burned during this fire season. In addition, over 100,000 people have recently been urged by authorities to evacuate to avoid further tragedy.
