Elections is just around the corner and it will interest you to know that, musicians across the country are behind the scenes preparing hit tunes to grace the major political rally that will soon hit the country.

Music is used as a persuasive tool for political campaigns by every political party in Ghana, songs and movie stars or media personalities are integral features of electioneering in Ghana and this year’s election will not t be an exception. The 2012- and 2016-year’s election of Ghana saw hit tunes from celebrated musicians like Daddy Lumba and Omanhene Sydney.

In Ghana most of the musicians who join political parties to rally are mostly criticized by their fans who are not in support of the political party. Musicians like Lucky Mensah lost his fan-base because of his involvement in the last two elections in the country. His divided fan-base blamed his involvement in politics as a major tool for his lost recognition.

He further asserted that, he won’t hesitate to join the rally of any political party who will need his performance on their campaign platform in the 2020 coming election.
