I Have Never Received A Peswa From GHAMRO As Royalties – Jon Germain

Ghanaian singer-songwriter and radio personality, Jon Germain has bemoaned that for over five years now he has not received any money from the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) as royalties for his music.

Speaking on his show The Zone on Starr FM today, Jon stated clearly that the musicians union presided over by Rex Omar has never handed him a peswa as royalties accrued for his music in Ghana.

He went further to say he receives royalties every year from foreign organizations but he is yet to hear from GHAMRO.

“Yes i do. I receive royalties every year from abroad for publishing.” He said.

When asked if he’s a member of the Organization he is asking royalties from, the broadcaster said he is a registered member of MUSIGA but does not remember signing up for GHAMRO.
