Men’s Rights Matter Too – Kenyan Men Finally Speak Up Against Abuse by Women
Kenyan men are finally speaking up against violence inflicted on them by Kenyan ladies. This follows the attack on a man by radio presenter Mwalimu Rachel.
Kenyan men are finally speaking up against violence inflicted on them by Kenyan ladies.
On Thursday 16th January, NRG Radio presenter Mwalimu Rachel together with her ‘goons’ allegedly beat up a Martin Mbugua.
The victim Martin is a good friend to gengetone artist Miracle Baby of Sailors Gang.
According to him, Mwalimu Rachel physically abused him because his friend Miracle failed to attend a planned commercial shoot.
Together with her male friends, they bullied and beat Mbugua up for almost 3 hours. Rachel apparently even yanked his dreadlocks and pulled his manhood.
Mbugua reported the matter to Kinoo police station and Mwalimu Rachel was detained at the station pending her case.
Following the attack on Mbugua, many men have taken to social media to call for justice; Justice for not only Mbugua but all men who have gone through physical abuse in the hands of a woman.
”If what happened to Mbugua by Mwalimu Rachel had happened to a lady, these streets would be noisy, messy and casualties reported.

Human rights are also men’s rights and we should prioritize this agenda,” read one comment on twitter.
Several people contributed to this conversation with the #AkiWanaumeTunaumia which translates to #MenAreSuffering.
Together with videos showing women abusing men, Kenyan men have started an uproar on the issue of physical violence by women.
We are yet to see how the law will deal with Mwalimu Rachel during this season of public figures being arrested.
First was Babu Owino followed by Cyprian Nyakundi and now Mwalimu Rachel. Who will be next?
