Trending Video: Bulldog Says Women Are Meant For The Kitchen And Bedroom, They Shouldn’t Compare Themselves To Men

Gentle reminder: this is 2020. Issues of gender equality and women empowerment have taken center stage in most social development discussions across the world.

Yet, despite the advocacy for gender equality, it seems the world is yet to come to a consensus on the matter. Individuals have different opinions on the subject matter and these dividing opinions are the cause of heated debates among many people.

Bulldog, whose real name is Nana Asiamah Hanson, is a popular artiste manager in the Ghanaian entertainment and showbiz industry. In an interview at 3FM- an Accra based radio station, Bulldog offered his opinion on women’s place in society.

Speaking on men and women having equal opportunities, Bulldog backed his believe that gender equality can never be achieved because God didn’t create men and women on the same day.

He claimed that [the man being created first before the woman] is the most important thing saying “women destroy stuff. They mess up everything.”

On that basis, Bulldog opined that a woman’s place should be in the kitchen and bedroom.

He said: “Women are just for…they should be for the kitchen and the bedroom. I’m saying this. They should go and cut my head or my wife can leave me if she wants to.”

Further stating that: “Women are meant for the kitchen and the bedroom. They shouldn’t be sitting around men discussing important things.”

However, Bulldog intimated that his opinion on the issues does not imply that women have no place in society. He explained as follows:

“I’m not saying women are useless. I’m saying that they have their own purpose. The mistake is that they start comparing themselves to men [because] it won’t auger well for them.”

Moreover, Bulldog did not agree to the suggestion that there women doing better than men in their field of work. For him, women who are Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and head of organizations are there because of ‘political’ reasons.

He explained that by ‘political’ he means they are there to represent the organization as being gender inclusive and serve as the face of the organization but not necessarily because they perform better than men.

‘It’s just nice’ he said. “And yes that’s what you’re good for. It’s not like you’ll really really bring anything [to the table].”

Adding that: “It’s like boys going to a funeral or party and there’s no girl among them; it’s not nice. You’re [women] are just like an icing on the cake, you’re [women] are not the cake.”
