Stonebwoy Confirms OV Is No Longer Signed To Burniton Music

Reggae/ Dancehall artist, Stonebwoy has officially confirmed that the 2018 MTN Hitmaker winner, Okailey Verse famed as OV is no longer signed to his record label, Burniton Music.

He made the announcement in a press briefing held today at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra.

According to the CEO of Burniton Music, he felt obligated to help OV after the singer won the music reality show but he now believes OV can survive on her won adding that the label’s door is always open to support her.

“She was fantastic when she won MTN hitmaker, she sang a lot of my songs and I felt I should help her which I did, but as we speak now she is on her own and I believe she will survive. She was at my house only last week and we are cool. I am willing to support her anytime,” he said.

Stonebwoy however denied claims that he sacked OV music after his infamous beef with Kelvyn Boy saying his decision is part of plans to restructure the label.

He said, “Our decision with OV is part of our efforts to restructure the brand. If you are close to me, you’ll know my intent as a manager. I couldn’t see a lot of things until my attention was drawn to it. Because of this, I had to re-structure. It’s in the best interest of the company that she was released.”
