#Justice4RuthEshun: One Suspect Arrested In Connection With Rape And Murder Of Ghanaian Nurse

One person linked to the rape and murder of 37 years old Ruth Eshun, a community health nurse, has reportedly been arrested.

The lifeless body of Ruth was found few meters from her house on Tuesday, February 4 with signs of struggle and underwear pulled down suggesting the deceased was raped.

Reports indicate that a mobile phone was found at the crime scene and was traced to a suspect who is currently in police custody.

Ruth Eshun, a mother of three, did not return home from work at the Sewua Health Center on Monday, February 3. An eyewitness narrated that, “Her lifeless body was discovered close to where she stays. You could also see marks of assault on parts of her body.”

Social media took it upon themselves to demand justice for Ruth with the hastag Justice4rutheshun calling for the authorities to take swift action.

In another development, the crime scene in the case was set ablaze by unknown persons on Saturday night. Investigators have however asserted that the fire will not affect their investigations.
