Burna Boy has touched some nerves on twitter and is currently trapped in a banter with Nigerian twitter users for saying he is the best afrobeat musician to ever come after the death of Legend Fela Kuti.

He tweeted,

FACT! I always knew I was and I am THE BEST. Everyone you think is the best KNOWS I’m BEST since Fela Kuti. But @timayatimaya told me something a long time ago that made me not care about being the best. “The World can do without the Best” the world will still spin regardless.

A twitter user with the handle @JezzyOfficial saw this as an insult to pacesetters like Wizkid and Davido told the Ye singer to lower his pride and give reverence to the aforementioned.

Burna Boy who found his tweet amusing stated in another tweet that no one paved the way for him to walk on neither did any artist set a table, and that he solely brought the respect afrobeat is currently enjoying in the world.
