Video: Police Threatens To Shoot Mother And Child After Their Bribe Demand Got Turned Down

An unfortunate video shared by a Nigerian blogger Giditraffic reports that a Nigerian Policeman has threatened to shoot a Nigerian mother and her child after demanding a bribe from the poor woman.

The tweet mentioned the policeman demanded 10k from the woman during an illegal search in Lagos early Tuesday morning. The video captured the lady thanking the other policemen around for preventing their colleague from shooting her and also called the alleged police officer a drunkard.

She also added saying her God would punish the policeman for wanting to commit such a devilish act against her. The woman had in her arms her son who was sobbing uncontrollably as she tried to draw the attention of the others around.

Police in recent times have become violent instead of protecting the public. It is, for this reason, many countries including Ghana are having the debate as to minimizing the carrying and possession of weapons by officers.
