Dancehall act Epixode has described the Ban Vodafone Ghana Music Awards has placed on colleagues Shatta Wale And Stonebwoy as a blessing in disguise.

In the view of the Mene Woa crooner, the ban has paved way for other artists who for sometime hadve been under the shadow of the two dancehall giants to be seen.

He sighted himself and J.Derobie as an example of artists who wouldn’t have made the cut if Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy had not been ban by the VGMA board.

“I think some of these things as much as it’s bad for an artist, it is a blessing in disguise for another artist. It is not going to change anything in their career because the have already won so many of these awards but then it has also given chance and space for other artists to also be seen.” He said.

He was quick to add that his words does not mean he is excited his colleagues were axed from the awards this year and it sure does not mean he hates them.

“Not to say I hate them or I’m feeling happy they are not in it but all I’m saying is now you can see J.Derobie is in there, myself and other artist.”

Epixode made this known at the 2020 VGMA Nominees Jam held at the Labadi Beach Hotel.
