Davido Confirms He Has Been Flaunting His Father’s Wealth As His – Gives Reason Why

Davido has answered true to rumors circulating that what he shows on social media is not his but his father’s.

The award winning Nigerian musician was called out some weeks ago for flaunting his father’s private jet as his and rumormongers say he has been doing so on many occasions.

In a recent interview on BBC, the Risky composer said he flaunts his wealth to rubbish the cliche thinking of some Americans that Africans live in huts or on trees.

Davido also justified his actions saying he flaunts his father’s wealth on social media to inspire people adding he does not show off to brag or rub it on the faces of his followers.

“In America there are people who think we live in huts, sometimes I feel like I want to show them… We’re living the life, we’re going crazy, you feel me? It has nothing to do with showing off or trying to oppress anybody. They oppress us enough.”

“We’re not here to rub it in anybody’s face, we’re here to show motivation. Many kids write to me and tell me that I’m the reason they want to finish school, and projects, and become successful.” He said.
