VIDEO: Confirmed Case Of Coronavirus In Ghana- Sick Patient Being Carried Into Ambulance

A video in circulation on social media shows a confirmed case of coronavirus patient being picked by health professionals into an ambulance in Ghana.

The COVID-19 situation in Ghana currently stands at over 600 positive cases of infected persons with 8 deaths and over 80 recoveries.

However, despite the public education ongoing in the country, many people don’t fully appreciate the gravity or seriousness of the coronavirus pandemic in the country.

Social distancing protocols are being violated in many instances especially with the recent distribution of food by the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) where several citizens queue and gather to have their share of the food stuffs.

In the video, an adult female patient who is ostensibly in some sort of pain is seen being ushered by health professionals into an ambulance.

While the healthcare worker is clothed in protective gears, the coronavirus victim is captured wearing a nose mask as she made her way into the ambulance.

The sight of the patient paints a picture that the coronavirus is real and we encourage Ghanaians to stay at home and when its necessary to go out, they should do so while observing all the social distancing and personal hygiene protocols to minimize the spread of the virus.
