Coronavirus pandemic has affected the world at large as it appears that Africa seems not to be bothered by the novel virus but literally the poverty virus.

Nigerian comedian cum actor, AY Makun in response to the hunger strike that has resulted from the lockdown has said that Africans are fighting the coronavirus and hunger virus.
According to the comic being, Africans are battling two pandemics at the moment thus the coronavirus pandemic and hunger virus.

With his reason been that, while European countries provided foodstuff and relief items to its citizenry, West African states provided none.
The comedian cum actor wrote om his social media platform that:
The rich want the poor to stay home to avoid the spread, but hunger won’t allow the poor to stay home. The poor fear that if they stay home, the hunger virus will kill them. The rich fear that if they also come out of their homes the coronavirus will kill them. What a delicate situation we have.
