Trump Promises To Give Nigeria Ventilators To Fight Coronavirus
United States President, Donald Trump has promised to ship some ventilators and other essential materials to Nigeria in the latter’s fight against the coronavirus.
The promise was made during a telephone call to Muhammadu Buhari in which he told Trump about his country’s fight against the disease. The Ministry of Information and Culture posted the news on its Twitter page.
However many Nigerians have greeted the news with mixed feelings. This is due to the fact that the world’s current most hit country in the coronavirus pandemic is the United States.
President Trump has been chastised back home for his handling of the crisis which now has almost 820,000 infections and a whopping 57,000 deaths. Nigeria’s cases also shot up to 1,042 deaths with 40 deaths.
