Woman Kills Mother-In-Law After Making Her Son To Divorce Her

A 37 year-old woman in the grips of police for murdering her mother-in-law has told investigators her motive. Fatima Sani blamed her deceased mother-in-law for instigating her son to divorce her.

She also alleged the deceased, 70 year-old Aishatu Umaru never consented to the marriage and thus made it difficult for her. Things took a tragic turn after the marriage collapsed in late April.

In her statement to the police, she insisted her actions were justified since the deceased was always poking her nose in her marital affairs .

Since I came into that family, I have not known anything called peace. Every day is punctuated with my mother-in-law’s trouble. There is nothing I did that pleased her and I decided to stab her to death so that everything would be over.

I know I have done something that even Allah will not forgive me, but let the law take its course.  Since she did not want me to have peace in my matrimonial home, Allah will not set her free.
