Mike Oquaye Wants Me Dead – Says Adwoa Safo As Constituency Primary Gets Heated

Adwoa Safo, the M.P. representing Dome-Kwabenya has made some wild allegations on the person of her opponent. The legislator who doubles as deputy Majority leader and Procurement minister accused Mike Oquaye Jr of an attempt on her life.

She demanded the party to call to order her opponent who is the son of the Speaker of Parliament and serves as Ghana’s High Commissioner to India. She claimed assailants stormed the constituency chairman’s house but met her absence and proceeded to vandalise properties.

In a rebuttal, the supporters of Mike Oquaye who contested the seat in the previous elections called the bluff of the legislator. They explained that she was colluding with the constituency chairman to alter the delegate register to her favour.

They have thus sounded a note of caution to reject the primary results if there was no fairness in the whole process. Adwoa Safo contested and won the seat in 2012, after Mike Oquaye Sr relinquished his seat and retired from Parliament.
