Pregnant Access Bank Cashier Collapses After Receiving Lay Off Letter From Management

As a results of the global economic halt due to the coronavirus pandemic, Access bank announced its plan to sack some workers as a result of the negative impact of the pandemic on the bank finances.

Popular Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade was recently in the news after she shared her displeasure about the news on her social media platform.

The worse has happened as a pregnant cashier working with Access Bank Ketu/Ikorodu branch allegedly collapsed after she was handed her sack letter.

A friend to the pregnant cashier narrated:

“Her name is Taiwo. When she got the news today, she collapsed. There were two of them affected by the mass retrenchment from Ketu/Ikorodu Road branch, as of now. We will get to know more on Monday about others who were affected. The Taiwo lady is about two or three months pregnant. When she heard the news, she collapsed. It was friends and family around her that rushed her to the hospital.”
