Fuji Music Icon, Wasiu Ajani Is Dead
Iconic Fuji singer, Alhaji Wasiu Ajani Tekoye also known as Pure Water has been confirmed dead. He was 52 years of age.
Reports says the musician died at his residence in Moshalashi, alimosha Local Government of Lagos State in the early hours of Thursday May 14.

According to a statement released by his family, he will be buried today Friday May 15 at his family house by 10 am in respect to the Islamic rites.

The statement read;
“Family Announce the Sudden Death of Alhaji Wasiu Ajani aka Pure Water. The family of Olaifa has announced the sudden departure of fuji music legend, Alhaji Wasiu Ajani otherwise known as Tekoye.
Tekoye, 52 died at the early hours of today Thursday, May 14, 2020, at his residence in Moshalashi Area of Alimosho Local Government in Lagos.
He will be buried according to Islamic rites at the family house tomorrow at 10 in the morning.”
