The gruesome rape and subsequent murder of Uwa Omozuwa, a student of the University of Benin on Saturday, May 30, 2020, has thrown the entire country into anger.
Nigerians have thronged to the varoius social media platforms demanding justice for the deceased who died three days later from her injuries.

Vera Uwaila Omozuwa, 22, had visited her Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) branch in Benin, Edo State to clean the church and read the bible last Wednesday.
She was reported to be in the church auditorium when unidentified men attacked her. They then took turns to rape her.
After the dastard act, her assailants smashed her head with a fire extinguisher cylinder and bolted away by scaling the church wall.
A security officer at the church premises found her in a pool of blood and motionless.
He informed the local pastor and she was swiftly taken to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital.
The case has been reported to the Oregbeni Police Station, Benin. Nigerians are seething with anger in the level of insecurity in the country.

They have demanded the government does everything possible to apprehend the culprits and make them face justice.
