Yesterday, Ghana’s most sort after breakfast, waakye (Rice and Beans), trended on twitter because someone decided not to package it in the normal way but in a jar.

Photos of waakye in jars went viral on social media getting a lot of people talking.

Some(Including me) saw it as a weird way to package the food and also a disrespect to the years old reputation of the food but others thought it is the best way to preserve the food.

Now we woke up to a photo of the sitting president of Ghana, H.E Akuffo Addo sitting in his office holding a jar of waakye.

If the photo above has not been photo shopped, then it means Waakye as we know it has changed forever and the rest of the foods are in grave danger. lol
