Ghana’s deputy minister for Trade and Industry has resigned from his position. Hon Carlos Ahenkorah who doubles as the parliamentarian representing Tema East constituency had come under backlash after he mixed with people while knowing he had tested positive for the coronavirus disease.
A statement released from the Jubilee House and signed by the director of communications, Eugene Arhin revealed that the President had accepted the minister’s decision.

President Akufo-Addo also admonished his appointees to observe all the safety protocols in the fight against the deadly disease bearing in mind their leadership they must provide tp the citizenry.
