My Client Was Kidnapped By The FBI With No Legal Backing For His Extradition To The US – Hushpuppi’s Lawyer
Chicago based lawyer, Gal Pissetzky, who is defending embattled Instagram celebrity, Hushpuppi in his alleged fraud case, has hit out at the FBI for “kidnapping” his client.
In a continued defense of Hushpuppi who has been accused in multiple crimes of fraud and money laundering, Mr. Pissetzky claims there were no legal documents backing his client’s arrest and no extradition treaty exists between the US and the UAE where Hushpuppi was residing.
Speaking with the BBC on Friday July 10, lawyer Pissetzky said, “In my opinion, the FBI and the government here acted illegally when they kidnapped him from Dubai without any legal process to do so.”
“There was no extradition, there were no legal steps taken, there were no court documents filed, it was simply a call to the FBI. He is not a citizen of the United States, the US had absolutely no authority to take him,” he added.
