Woman And Lover Arrested For Killing Former Boyfriend

The police in Ondo State, Nigeria has arrested a 23 year-old woman, Iyabo Julius after she conspired with her lover and another accomplice to kill her former boyfriend and subsequently ran off with his possessions.

She was arrested with her new boyfriend, Adedayo Sunday, 25 and another accomplice, Jeremiah Monday, 20 during investigations after the corpse of her former boyfriend, Suleiman Azeez, also 25, was found in a pool of blood in a bush.

The police chief of the state, Bolaji Salami, in a press conference revealed that the incident happened in the 12/12 area of Ore in the Odigbo Local Government Area of the state.

A report had been made of a dead young man who was a commercial motor rider with his vehicle stolen. The police apprehended the male suspects who were on the verge of selling the motorcycle of the deceased.

They led the police to the hideout of Iyabo Julius where she was also arrested. During interrogation it came to light that she was in a relationship with Adedayo Sunday.

The duo had planned to marry with the proceeds from the sale of her deceased former boyfriend’s items which included a Toyota Corolla car, one TVS motorcycle, and the cash sum of N231,000.
