Lecturer Crushed To Death By Driver Escaping Police Arrest
A Nigerian lecturer has died after she was crushed by a driver absconding from the police after he committed a traffic offence.
Dr. Stella Okotie, a staff of the University of Benin, in Edo State was killed on the spot after a police chase turned tragic.
Eyewitnesses revealed that the driver sped off after he was caught flouting a traffic rule. This led to a chase and the driver was caught.
There was a struggle between the driver and a police officer which led to the vehicle veering off the road and ramming into the lecturer and another bystander.
The police officers fled the scene while the deceased lecturer and the the injured bystander were taken to the hospital.
