A British-based Ghanaian rapper will be spending the next twenty-four years in jail after he was found guilty of aggravated rape, kidnapping and sexual assault.
Andy Anokye who goes by the stage name, Solo 45 was convicted of 21 rapes and five counts of false imprisonment by a Bristol crown court.
The 33 year-old initially pleaded not guilty to the charges levelled against him citing the victims concerned had given their consent to the sexual acts.
The convict explained to the court presided by Judge William Hart that he suffers dacryphilia, a condition that makes one get sexual arousal from partner’s pains.
Police discovered videos of some of the incidents on Ankoye’s phone after he was arrested on a rape allegation back in 2017.
