“Wearing Face Mask In Church Is An Insult To God” – Nigerian Pastor Says
Leader of the Household of God Church in Lagos Nigeria, Reverend Chris Okotie has vehemently spoken against wearing face masks in the church.
In the view of the man of God, wearing any type of face mask(which protects you from catching the virus) to church is total disrespect to God and the death of Jesus on the cross.

He asserted that Christians putting on face masks to church means the reintroduction of the veil which was torn when Jesus died on the cross.
The veil, according to the bible, represented the barrier between man and God and when Jesus died on the cross, it tore so man can visit the throne room freely.

“When a man is standing before God in church wearing a shield or mask, he is denying the finished work of the cross,” he said.
The pastor said he decided to speak on the issue because people are now using face shield(Which to him is a veil) instead of using a face masks.
