Nollywood Has Been Overtaken By Prostitutes And Fraud Boys – Actor Cries

Ace Nigerian actor Yemi Solade has stated that the movie industry has lost its former glory and has been taken over by unprofessionals.

Yemi revealed in an interview with NigerianTribune how the gatekeepers in the Nigerian movie industry have allowed prostitutes and Yahoo boys to scar the prestigious identity of the movie industry.

The Nollywood is not there right now. The Nolllywood you see now is all encompassing. It’s like an uncompleted building that is not guarded and what you meet there would amaze you. It has become an all comers affair, anybody can stroll in and act. All the Yahoo boy are now there, all the prostitutes that you can imagine are there.

The actor added that the influx of such people have made it difficult for the public to identify the true actors in the industry.

People cannot even differentiate between the core professionals and these class of clowns who have infiltrated the association, but they didn’t just fly in, some people whom you refer to as core professionals brought them in. rs in the industry.”

He finally expressed his displeasure in the state of acting and suggested possible ways to restore its former glory.
