Celebrated Nigerian actor, Yul Edochie has taken to his Twitter handle to lament about the hardships in Nigeria that go a long way to make the Independence celebration a useless adventure.
Nigeria is celebrating 60 years of gaining Independence from their British colonial masters today, 1st October, 2020.

But Yul, is of the view that, he cannot wish any Nigerian a happy Independence day because the people are suffering and no one is actually happy.
He listed among other things, bad roads, fuel price hikes, electricity tariff hikes, killings, unemployment, hardships and in fact, the list, according to him, is endless.
He tweeted: ”I cannot wish anyone a happy independence when my people are not happy. What are we celebrating? Fuel price increase? Electricity tariff hike? Hardship? Bad roads? Killings everywhere? Jobless youths turned beggars? The list is endless. Speak the truth. Nigerians are suffering.”
