Reno Omokri To Pay The Hospital Bills Of Those Who Suffered Injuries During The Lekki Shootings

Nigerian lawyer and author, Reno Omokri has elected himself to pay the hospital bills of all those protesters who were shot yesterday at the Lekki toll gate and sustained injuries.

There were reports that, the government hospitals were rejecting the victims of the shooting incident and most of the victims could not also afford the luxury of attending private hospitals due to their inability to pay for the bills.

Reno Omokri got wind of the issue and took to his Twitter page to give the opportunity to persons who were injured and can’t afford the bills to go to any private hospital and give him the bill to settle for them.

He tweeted: “I read that peaceful, unarmed #EndSARS protesters shot by solders are being rejected at government hospitals. If you can prove you were shot at an EndSARS rally, go to any private hospital and I will pay the bill. Email info@renoomokri with proof. You will not die. You will live!”

Members of the Nigerian army opened fire on harmless protesters yesterday at the Lekki toll gate, killing scores of them in the process.

The government is yet to comment on the issue even though it has been a trending topic for past couple of hours.
