Celebrity Barman and Instagram star Cubana Chief Priest has been detained by the Nigerian Police Force, reports say.

According to close sources in the Police, Cubana Chief Priest, born Pascal Okechukwu, was invited for questioning over abuse of police escort and weapons as well as unexplained wealth but was later detained.

Prior to his arrest, Cubana chief was seen on his social media pages throwing bundles of Naira notes to a mammoth crowd and also posting pictures of himself living large.

The source said his arrest was an order from the Office of the Inspector-general of Police who has expressed shock over the misuse of police personnel by the celebrity.

“We have detained Cubana Chief Priest and he is facing interrogation for misuse of police personnel as well illegal use of weapon and his extravagant and unexplained lifestyle.” He was quoted saying.

Head Pastor of Word Based Prophetic ad Deliverance Ministry, Rev. Paul Abam, has been nabbed and humiliated after allegedly seen planting charm in his cousin’s land.

A source in the pastor’s family said Rev. Abam told his cousin he needed money to uproot some charm his haters have planted in his land, unknown to his cousin, the pastor was trying to extort money from him.

Rev. Abam was later caught by residents of the area planting some charms from a shrine in Itigidi.

An eyewitness narrated on social media how the man of God was disgraced in public after he was forced to confess of face mob justice.

The eyewitness wrote;

Commissioner of Police (CP) INTERPOL in Nigeria, Garba Umar, has confirmed the arrest of Instagram billionaire Raymond Igbalode a.k.a. Hushpuppi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The International Police (INTERPOL) Nigeria told The Nation that Hushpuppi and his associates may be extradited to Nigeria.

CP Umar said, “It is true that Hushpuppi was arrested by the INTERPOL. We are currently working on bringing him to Nigeria to face charges of fraud. Some of the offences were committed here in Nigeria and he has to answer for them. He is not alone in it; there are accomplices in the country who we are currently on their trail”.

On June 10th, Hushpuppi and two of his associates, Mr Woodberry and Efe, were arrested for allegedly hacking into the United States (US) unemployed database and impersonating citizens qualified for unemployment funds.

It is reported that they allegedly defrauded the US government of over $100 million meant for Native Americans in the battle against the coronavirus pandemic.

Information reaching AfricaCelebrities.com indicates that the Federal Capital Territory Police Command has arrested the alleged mastermind of the failed ‘money heist style’ robbery in the Mpape area of Abuja.

The report indicates that the suspected mastermind who is identified as Ernest Ewim, was arrested barely one week after the failed robbery attack bringing the total number of all suspects arrested in connection with the robbery to five.

This is aside the sixth robber who was killed in a shoot-out on the day of the robbery.

One of the suspects, Prince Obinna who is a professional photographer had earlier narrated how he was brought into the deal by Ewim.

He explained that Ewim, who works as a bartender at a pub asked him to organise his friends who were interested in the heist.

An attempt by the suspects to rob the bank on Saturday, December 28 was foiled by a combined team of the Police, the Army and the Department of State Security (DSS) who arrived in the area just when the robbers had made their way in.

They were paraded on Tuesday at the Headquarters of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command.

As a side note though, it needs to be said that the efforts of the Nigerian Police Command and its operatives in this matter has to be applauded.
