The Ghana Police service has released an update on the murder of the Assemblyman for Sogakope South Electoral Area.

According to the Police, Vincent Adjei who is aged 34 years, is believed to be the ring leader in the murder of Hon. Mawutor Adzahli, the Assembly Member for the Sogakope South Electoral Area.

Vincent has been remanded into prison custody by the Dabala District Court to reappear on 26 May, 2020.

Not long ago, AfricaCelebrities.com reported that Hon. Aponkye had won the Assembly Member elections of his electoral area.

This was based on provisional results and a confirmation from Nana Aba Anamoah in that respect.

However, information from elsewhere have it that contrary to the earlier reports, the Aponkye man has not won.

The Electoral Commission are yet to declare the official results, so as it stands now no one can substantiate the information going round.

Information coming in indicates that Ibrahim Adaabor Issah Ampim alias Hon. Aponkye, aspiring Assembly Member for Adukrom Nima Electoral Area has won the election.

Hon. Aponkye recently became a social media sensation and talk of town after his series of interviews at GHOne with Nana Aba Anamoah and UTV with Akrobeto.

Nana Aba took it upon herself to even be his campaign manager. And lo and behold the Aponkye man has won the Assembly man elections.

This was confirmed by Nana Aba Anamoah in tweet. She said: “I just got off the phone with my candidate He said ‘nana y3 winniiiiiiiiiooooooo’ Then pim the line dropped. Now his phone is off”

The Electoral Commission is yet to officially declare the results.

If confirmed, Hon. Aponkye would have won the Sawaba Adukrom seat becoming the most popular Assembly man in Ghana.
