Celebrated Nigerian singer, Ayo Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid has taken to social media to show gratitude to his music godfather, Banky Wellington popularly known as Banky W and Captain Tunde Demuren for changing his life.

Wizkid was introduced into the music scene by Banky W and Captain Demuren when they signed him onto the Empire Men Entertainment – EME in 2009.

Banky W, beign a celebrated and well accomplished singer, was able to nurture the talent of Wizkid and made him a household name during his teen years.

Wizkid, who has been rumoured in the past to be showing some disrespect has taken to social media to dismiss such by showing gratitude to the two for the role they played in his career.

The Ojualegba hit maker took to twitter and wrote: “Thank you to these guys for changing my life @ Bankywellington @ captdemuren. EME 4 ever!!”

Banky W and Wizkid have expressed sadness in relation to the death of George Floyd, the balck man who died after being pinned down by a white police officer in Minneapolis.

Floyd’s death has over the week caused many uproars not only on social media but protests across states in America.

The two Nigerian musicians took to their individual twitter page to condemn and also demand justice for the killing of blacks in America. Wizkid and Banky also chipped in the recent gruesome murder of a 16 year old girl in Lagos.

“Police dey kill black Americans and Naija police dey kill Nigerians. No man fit sort this matter. God save us” Wizkid tweeted.

Banky on the other hand inked in a lenghty tweet the fraustration violence and darkness has subjected the world into.

“This world is exhausting. In America, it’s racism – white cops killing unarmed black people. In Nigeria, where we share the same skin colour, it’s tribalism & genocide. Every other week there’s another story of mass murder; Kaduna today, Jos tomorrow. So much hatred. I am tired

The popular crooner made an online Sunday service as he shared the story of how he met Wizkid a few days after he reacted to an old tweet of Wizkid that was dug up by fans.

Banky W revealed that, Wizkid was already signed to EME for more a year as of that Time and the tweet was running joke between them.
