Nollywood actress, Beverly Osu has suggested that those who falsely accuse others of rape should be punished.

She opined that those who are found guilty of such should be given a jail term of not less than two years.

She’s of the opinion that when a female accuses someone of rape and later comes back to back track, it shouldn’t end there but rather the person should be made to pay dearly for it.

Nollywood actress, Beverly Osu has recounted how she encountered the defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad unit of the police force.

Joining the protest from the Lekki toll gate, the actress took to social media to share photos of herself and recounted how she was arrested and beaten by SARS.

According to her, she was arrested by SARS some years ago at around 1am and taken from Ikate to Ojualegba. She added that she only secured bail for herself after two hours.

She encouraged others to share their stories with the public to help shine the light on police brutalities.

She enjoined her non-Nigerian fans to help share the message to the rest of the world for positive actions to be taken.

She captioned her photos: “We want a total Reformation of the Nigerian police force … I’ve been beaten and arrested by SARS, Taken from IKATE to OJUELEGBA around 1am 🥺I literally had to be BAILED OUT of prison after being locked up for nothing . 2 hours later #shareyourstory
