He explained that he led a life of sexual purity after he became a born-again Christian at age 18 and has had no sexual relations with any other woman since he married his wife, Vivian some 35 years ago.

“Since then, the only woman I have had sex with is my wife and that happened after we got married in August 1985. I am proud to say in my 35 years of marriage, I have not kissed, smooched, or had sex with anyone except my wife”, he asserted.

The founder of the Perez Chapel also took his viewers through his financial decisions enumerating the taxes he pays and the philanthropic services he extends to the needy in society.

John Legend spoke at length in an interview on Armchair Expert with podcast co-hosts Dax Shepard and Monica Padman.

“Yes, I did have a history of [cheating]. Definitely in my 20’s. I think what happened for me, you go through a lot of your life in your teens and I was younger than everybody in high school and college, and so I just didn’t get a lot of girls. When I started to get that attention, I loved it.” The 41-year-old singer answered Dax when he was asked if he ever cheated.

He added that he took advantage of his fame at a point in his life but everything changed when he met Chrissy in 2013.

He said his “whole life” become “lighter” and it felt freeing for him to be honest.
