Adedamola Adefolahan famed in showbiz as Fireboy DML has reacted positively to FIFA21 featuring his song in the soundtrack for the famous football game.

Fireboy DML became the first Nigerian artist to be featured on football simulation game, a big achievement for him and the music industry.

The FIFA21 and Volta Football soundtracks featured over 100 artists from 23 different countries including the top Nigerian acts and Fireboy was the lucky act.

His song will be played as soundtrack on the main game while his colleagues Rema and Burna Boy featured on FIFA Volta(Ultimate) soundtrack.

The deal negotiated by EMPIRE Publishing & YBNL makes Fireboy the first Nigeria-based artist featured in the official FIFA21 game soundtrack which is set for launch worldwide on the 9th of October 2020.

Fireboy disclosed in an interview with Goal expressed how excited he was saying it will keep his legacy forever.

“My second studio album, ‘Apollo’ is about evolution, growth, love and the pain that comes with it. My legacy will not be forgotten.”

Big win for the Nigerian entertainment industry as singers, Burna Boy, Rema and Fireboy DML earn a slot to be featured on soundtrack for FIFA21 football game.

EA Sports confirmed the full soundtracks for the game ahead of its official release on October 9,2020 fr PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

The FIFA 21 and Volta Football soundtracks will feature over 100 artists from 23 different countries including the top Nigerian acts.

Fireboy, has become the first Nigerian-based musician to be featured on the official FIFA21 game soundtrack. His song, Scatter will be featured on the main game.

Rema’s song, ‘Beamer’ and Santan Dave’s song, ‘Location’ which had Burna boy on it was featured on the Volta Football aspect of the game.

Fast rising Nigerian singer Fireboy DML, celebrated for his hit single Jealous, has told his struggles in taking music as a full time career.

Fireboy recalled how his mother stood against his decision to follow his music talent and abandoning school.

He said is situation even worsened when his family realized he was not doing gospel music instead.

“My mother was forcing Yinka Ayefele, Tope Alabi songs down my throat. I was not the black sheep in the family until l told my parents l was going for music. My parents weren’t supportive at first because it was a switch. It was a very big switch from a promising child that seemed destined to be a professor to someone who suddenly woke up to wanting to be a musician.

Narrating how he met Olamide and he helped changed his family’s perception about music, he said;

“It took some time for them to get used to that. Their reaction was because l gave them hope that l was going to be a scholar and then the sudden switch. I convinced them in the long run by becoming successful. My mum is my biggest fan now.”

Fireboy DML, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter signed to YBNL Nation, an independent record label founded by Nigerian rapper Olamide. His debut studio album Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps was released in 2019.
