Top Chicago lawyer, Gal Pissetzky, who is representing alleged scammer, Ramon Abass, otherwise known as Hushpuppi, has rubbished claims that he has jilted his client.

The lawyer told Punch that he would still be standing for Hushpuppi and that the case is getting better

Pissetzky also told the publication that he’s confident Hushpuppi will come out victorious in this case.

He said;

“I am still representing him. I will be in California for the case.

“Our legal system is quite different from yours. That he was denied bail does not mean his case is getting worse. Actually, I think it’s getting better. I am not, however, allowed to comment on the facts of the case.

“There is no new evidence put forward by the FBI at this point. Whatever news report that suggests things are getting worse for him is not true.”

Chicago based lawyer, Gal Pissetzky, who is defending embattled Instagram celebrity, Hushpuppi in his alleged fraud case, has hit out at the FBI for “kidnapping” his client.

In a continued defense of Hushpuppi who has been accused in multiple crimes of fraud and money laundering, Mr. Pissetzky claims there were no legal documents backing his client’s arrest and no extradition treaty exists between the US and the UAE where Hushpuppi was residing.

Speaking with the BBC on Friday July 10, lawyer Pissetzky said, “In my opinion, the FBI and the government here acted illegally when they kidnapped him from Dubai without any legal process to do so.”

“There was no extradition, there were no legal steps taken, there were no court documents filed, it was simply a call to the FBI. He is not a citizen of the United States, the US had absolutely no authority to take him,” he added.
